Job Description: AstroForge is seeking a Head of Government Relations to spearhead our engagement with the U.S. Space Force and other relevant government entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing contracts that leverage Astroforge's vehicle capabilities to advance U.S. interests in cislunar space. Job Description: AstroForge is seeking a Head of Government Relations to spearhead our engagement with the U.S. Space Force and other relevant government entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing contracts that leverage Astroforge's vehicle capabilities to advance U.S. interests in cislunar space. This role requires a deep understanding of governmental processes, a strong network within the defense and space sectors, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the U.S. Space Force, Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, and other relevant agencies to advocate for AstroForge's platforms and capabilities.
- Lead efforts to secure government contracts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and negotiating terms that align with Astroforge's strategic objectives.
- Represent AstroForge in government forums, industry associations, and public events to promote the company’s mission and capabilities in cislunar space operations.
- Ensure that all AstroForge operations and proposals comply with applicable federal regulations, including ITAR, FAR, and DFARS requirements.
- Monitor and analyze relevant legislation, policy changes, and government funding opportunities that could impact Astroforge's business and strategic positioning.
- Work closely with AstroForge's engineering, business development, and legal teams to align government relations strategies with overall company goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Aerospace Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in government relations within aerospace, defense, or technology sectors, with a strong track record in securing government contracts.
- Deep knowledge of federal regulations (ITAR, FAR, DFARS) and ability to ensure compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills to align government relations with company objectives.
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one, with experience representing companies at high-profile government and industry events.
- Ability to work on-site in Seal Beach, CA.
