Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Development to join our organization within the health care industry. This critical role is perfectly designed for a self-determined leader with a passion for promoting mental health initiatives and fostering an environment where individuals can thrive. As the Director of Development, you are responsible for strategically guiding the organization's fundraising efforts, enhancing community engagement, and building individual and corporate partnerships. You will leverage your expertise in development practices to create and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies that align with Southwestern Mental Health Care’s mission and goals. Your role will include engaging with donors, stakeholders, and community members to communicate our vision and secure necessary resources. We require a candidate who is adept at analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities for growth. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving initiatives that not only promote our cause but also ensure sustainable funding streams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, community stakeholders, and individuals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of donor engagement events and campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze fundraising performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate fundraising goals into the organization's overall strategic plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards related to fundraising activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including board members and community leaders.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and other relevant technology platforms.
