NURSING ASSIST, MEDSURG 5 at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center – POMONA, California

Position Description: Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, assists in providing direct and indirect patient care to hospital patients on a general or specialized nursing care unit by performing a variety of non-professional nursing duties. The Nursing Assistant will be aware of the special needs of specific age groups assigned to the unit. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications: [REQUIRED]: High School Graduate or equivalent. BLS

Ability to read and write English; comprehend medical terminology; general office computer or hospital related experience; ability to operate various office equipment, i.e. fax, copier, multi-line phone. Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital and/or long term care facility a plus. *AHA18*

[Preferred] Certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred.

Salary range: $21.19 - $29.81
