Job Purpose: A laundry attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of linens used by hotel guests by responsibly washing, drying, and folding them.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Load articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.

2. Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.

3. Ensure chemicals are dispensed properly.

4. Maintain inventory of laundry chemicals.

5. Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them successively into driers for measured time cycles.

6. Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.

7. Fold and place items in appropriate storage bin.

8. Iron all table linens.

9. Lubricate machines.

10. Ensure cleanliness of equipment.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Required Skills/Abilities

Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs

Detail oriented and thorough

Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor towards staff, guests and visitors to the property

Time management skills
