SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role within the institution, leading the creation, capture, writing, and editing of content across Sagrado’s social media platforms. This position works within the Institutional Communications unit and coolaborates with the Marketing team to execute the university’s voice and brand strategy, supporting the development of engaging, purpose-driven content that strengthens Sagrado’s digital presence and connection with its audiences.
The ideal candidate is innovative, digitally fluent, and deeply connected to contemporary trends, with a particular appreciation for Sagrado’s mission.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience creating social media content, preferably within higher education or related industries.
- Excellent writing skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to develop engaging and effective social media content.
- Proficiency in content creation and scheduling platforms such as Canva, CapCut, and Zoho Social, as well as analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Availability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend institutional and academic events to capture high-quality photos and create short-form video content (e.g., reels) for social media platforms.
- Produce audiovisual content, including talent coordination, script development, video recording, and editing.
- Plan, develop, and schedule content while maintaining an up-to-date editorial calendar across all social media platforms.
- Monitor, manage, and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, including active social listening.
- Source, curate, and coordinate user-generated content (UGC) to expand the institution’s reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and support integrated campaigns.
- Provide guidance on Sagrado’s brand voice and social media style guidelines to internal stakeholders.
- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization based on data analysis, audience feedback, and industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to the Social Media Policy across all the Univeristy’s social media accounts.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and generate reports with actionable recommendations.
- Provide strategic recommendations to unit leadership to support decision-making and enhance content performance.
- Manage and oversee access, permissions, and governance for social media accounts across academic and administrative units.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
