Job Description

AI Engineering Solutions Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Engineering Solutions Architect based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of enterprise consulting, AI strategy, and cloud architecture, where you will shape high-impact solutions built on Microsoft’s modern technology ecosystem. You will lead early-stage client engagements, uncovering real business challenges and translating them into scalable, AI-driven solution architectures. The position requires a strong blend of technical depth and commercial awareness, enabling you to connect executive priorities with practical cloud and AI implementations. You will work across Azure, data, AI, and application modernization initiatives, guiding clients through complex transformation journeys. The environment is highly consultative and fast-paced, requiring strong storytelling, structured thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. This is a client-facing, high-impact role where your work directly shapes deal success and solution direction across enterprise accounts.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead enterprise discovery sessions to uncover business drivers, constraints, and decision-making dynamics across complex client environments.
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear problem statements, measurable outcomes, and AI-enabled solution strategies.
  • Design end-to-end architectures across Azure, Data, AI, Integration, Security, and Power Platform ecosystems.
  • Develop high-quality solution artifacts including SOWs, phased delivery plans, assumptions, dependencies, and risk-managed proposals.
  • Structure engagement approaches that balance technical feasibility, delivery risk, commercial margin, and implementation scalability.
  • Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, tailoring messaging for both business leaders (value, ROI, risk) and technical leaders (architecture, feasibility).
  • Partner closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure smooth handoffs, deal alignment, and execution readiness.
  • Identify delivery risks early and proactively protect downstream teams by setting realistic expectations and clear solution boundaries.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in Microsoft cloud, data, or application architecture, with 3–5+ years in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise discovery workshops and shaping technical solutions from ambiguous requirements.
  • Strong expertise across Azure architecture, including data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory) and integration services.
  • Hands-on understanding of applied AI solutions, including Azure OpenAI (RAG, agents), Azure AI Search, and AI evaluation approaches.
  • Experience designing integration and automation solutions using tools such as Logic Apps, Event Grid, Functions, APIM, and Container Apps.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence CFO-, COO-, CTO-, and CISO-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with consulting frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Catalyst, Design Thinking, LUMA) and change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci).
  • Preferred background in Microsoft consulting partners such as Avanade, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, or Slalom.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote role within the United States.
  • Competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) of approximately $250K, depending on experience and performance.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with full employee premium coverage.
  • Generous PTO and flexible work arrangements supporting work-life balance.
  • Retirement savings plan options and long-term financial support.
  • Continuous learning and professional development opportunities in AI, cloud, and enterprise architecture.
  • Inclusive, collaborative culture focused on innovation, growth, and knowledge sharing.
