We are currently seeking an Electrician Helper to add to our growing team.

Position Summary & Objective

The Electrician Helper supports the electrical assembly team in the wiring and installation of electrical components for custom HVAC units. This role assists with basic wiring tasks, material preparation, and component installation while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with company standards and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing materials, tools, and components for electrical assembly.
  • Read and follow work orders, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints under supervision.
  • Gather and stage parts, wire, and subassemblies for production.
  • Cut, strip, and prepare wires to specified lengths.
  • Install wire insulation such as plastic sleeves and coverings.
  • Assist with routing, bundling, and securing wiring to terminal points.
  • Support installation of electrical components, including junction boxes, panels, switches, and accessories.
  • Crimp connectors and terminals under guidance using hand tools.
  • Assist with visual inspection of wiring and assemblies to ensure proper installation.
  • Support basic testing activities such as continuity checks under supervision.
  • Notify team leads or supervisors of any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with inventory handling, material movement, and housekeeping.
  • Support other departments as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, electrical work, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts and wiring is a plus.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow simple diagrams or instructions.
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as wire cutters, crimpers, and drills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work performed in a manufacturing/assembly environment with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 25–40 pounds.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial materials.
  • Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and protective footwear.
