Geologist/Environmental Engineer/Scientist in Mineola, New York at The LiRo Group

We currently have a need for an Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist in our Mineola, NY Office.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

• Preparation of ASTM-compliant Phase I ESAs
• Drilling/excavating contractor oversight, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sample collection
• Soil logging/geologic formation
• Construction activities oversight including excavations, monitoring well installations, UST investigations/closures, etc.
• CAMP implementation and work zone monitoring
• Field activity report writing
• Assist project PMs with preparation of various summary reports and documents
• 8 hour shift

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years’ experience (entry level candidates will also be considered)
• Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills
• Project scheduling experience with budget management skills required
• Asbestos experience or professional license a plus
• Field experience
• Strong communication skills required

- We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment.

- Compensation: Minimum:$55,000; Maximum: $80,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
