Mack Industries is looking for a Precast Concrete Sales Representative to support customers throughout Western Ohio, Eastern Indiana, and Southern Michigan. In this role, you’ll develop new business, grow existing customer relationships, and serve as a trusted resource throughout the entire sales and project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on sales role that combines business development, project coordination, technical support, and account management. You’ll work directly with customers, contractors, and industry partners while collaborating with internal teams to bring projects from the initial opportunity through quoting, design, production, and delivery.

You’ll have ownership of both the outside and inside sales aspects of your accounts, allowing you to build strong relationships and remain involved throughout the customer’s experience.

What You’ll Do

Business Development & Sales

  • Generate and qualify leads for underground precast concrete products in the commercial, private, and public sectors.
  • Identify, develop, and secure client referrals through general contractors and industry partners.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customer accounts.
  • Develop, grow, and sustain new customer accounts.
  • Conduct in-person, phone, and electronic sales calls with prospective and existing customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Develop and deliver presentations highlighting company products, innovative technologies, and services.
  • Prepare quotations and sales proposals and actively follow up to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to monitor and manage quotations throughout the sales cycle.

Customer & Project Support

  • Review site plans, structural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to support customer needs and project requirements.
  • Prepare job take-offs.
  • Learn and prepare shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct job site visits and provide customers with ongoing technical support.
  • Address contractor concerns and coordinate corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Stay engaged throughout the project lifecycle to help ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and maintain positive client relationships.

Account Management & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and prepare periodic sales reports.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to manage payments and collections.
  • Complete expense reports and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market conditions, and opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Identify opportunities for process, product, and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with fellow sales team members to share market intelligence, customer insights, and selling strategies to ensure comprehensive market coverage.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred, particularly within the construction, concrete, or precast industry.
  • Experience working with construction plans, specifications, and project documentation is a plus.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of business and sales concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using spreadsheets, databases, CRM systems, and sales tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of precast concrete products and structures is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Valid driver’s license.

What Makes You Successful

You’ll be successful in this role if you’re a self-starter, relationship-builder, and problem-solver who is comfortable taking ownership of your territory and customer relationships.

  • Relationship Building: Build trust and develop strong, long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Business Development: Identify new opportunities and develop strategies to grow customer accounts and sales.
  • Independent & Driven: Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and taking ownership of territory-based goals.
  • Customer-Focused: Responsive, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
  • Problem-Solver: Able to analyze project information, address challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Persuasive Communicator: Confident presenting solutions, influencing decisions, negotiating, and communicating with customers and internal teams.
  • Adaptable: Able to adjust to changing customer needs, project requirements, and market conditions.
  • Collaborative: Work effectively with sales team members and internal departments to keep projects moving forward.

At Mack Industries, you’re not just selling a product—you’re helping customers bring construction and infrastructure projects to life. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting customer relationships, develop new business, and work closely with experienced professionals across sales, engineering, production, and other teams.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a territory, manage customer relationships from beginning to end, and make a direct impact on the growth of the business.
