About This Job

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Onboarding, this role will be responsible for leading and driving our sales teams and onboarding team to success. We are looking for a high energy, experienced leader that specializes in building high velocity teams that are focused on achieving sales and onboarding goals while partnering with operations to ensure we sign the right home and set the right expectations for owners. In the role of Sales Director, you will lead by example. Your direct downline may include sales executives and onboarding coordinators. The ideal candidate should have a history of success in optimizing and standardizing group performance. This position will be a key leader within the sales & onboarding leadership group.

Compensation

85,000 Salary plus sales Director Commission Plan

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and successfully manage Sales Executives and/or Onboarding Coordinators by driving teams to exceed aggressive quotas.
  • Coordinate and monitor performance goals by providing feedback, coaching, and guidance in weekly 1:1 meetings and regular communication with leaders.
  • Develop and identify opportunities for growth, collaboration, and innovative ways to raise productivity.
  • Partner with Operations to solve problems and improve our communication to create healthy homes.
  • Build internal and field relationships with focus upon conflict prevention and resolution.
  • Recruit, inspire, and coach (must have a passion for talent development)
  • Foster an environment that recognizes and encourages top performance and takes action to address areas of opportunity and under performance
  • Lead and develop a team of employees through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual evaluations to support professional growth and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee daily operations and workflow management to optimize team productivity and meet departmental objectives. Identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement. Address team conflicts constructively and in a timely manner as they arise.
  • Assist the recruiting process with interviewing, selection and onboarding new team members while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align departmental goals with broader organizational strategy. Represent the team in leadership meetings and communicate strategic decisions effectively to direct reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process optimizations. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the function.

Requirements:

Skills + Qualifications

  • Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
  • College education is strongly preferred, though we recognize that great talent comes from many different paths.
  • 3+ years experience preferred leading and mentoring sales or onboarding teams.
  • Understanding of short-term rentals, property management, and/or real estate highly preferred.
  • Strong talent development skills (intentional coaching practices).
  • Expert experience leveraging sales tech stack: CRM, reporting tools, communication tools.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to consistently exceed against metrics.
  • Highly metrics-driven with the ability to identify and manage effectively according to the performance of the group.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth in a fast-moving, results-driven environment.
  • Experience managing day-to-day team operations, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive, productive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and growth
  • Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently—whether it's over email, on a video call, or in person—and can build strong connections with both team members and clients.

Workplace Environment + Expectations

  • Fully remote work environment with reliable internet connection.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Typically a Monday - Friday workweek with expectations to be flexible to support the needs of the business.
  • Occasional travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Demands

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.
