Senior Director, Clinical Science, Alzheimer's Disease

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced clinical science professional passionate about advancing innovation in Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative research. In this role, you will guide scientific and operational excellence across global clinical trials, helping shape endpoint strategies, data quality programs, and cognitive assessment methodologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning clinical operations, business development, technology, and scientific consulting to support high-impact studies worldwide. The position combines scientific expertise with client-facing leadership, offering the chance to influence trial design, contribute to publications, and support groundbreaking therapeutic programs. Working in a highly collaborative and research-driven environment, you will play a key role in improving the future of brain health assessment and patient outcomes on a global scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and oversee scientific delivery and endpoint quality management strategies for Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative clinical trials.
  • Develop and implement rater training programs, remediation initiatives, and quality assurance processes to ensure high standards across studies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cognition assessment, endpoint strategy, and neuropsychological methodologies within clinical trial environments.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to define study services, resolve scientific issues, and optimize operational execution.
  • Contribute to business development activities through proposal support, sponsor presentations, bid defenses, and consultative scientific discussions.
  • Support publication and conference presentation strategies related to Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive science advancements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, software engineering, learning services, and clinician networks to improve systems and workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical sponsors, clinicians, key opinion leaders, and operational partners.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in CNS research, neurodegenerative disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Strong expertise in cognitive and behavioral assessment methodologies used in clinical trial settings.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical scientists, neuropsychologists, data scientists, and medical professionals in complex research environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead scientific initiatives, manage complex projects, and support innovative service development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients and senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational capabilities within cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting consultative sales or sponsor engagement activities are highly valued.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and globally distributed work environment.
