You will operate as a subject matter expert in commercial contracts while also mentoring junior legal staff and managing external counsel when needed. This is a high-impact role for a lawyer who thrives in dynamic, high-volume environments and enjoys balancing strategic influence with practical execution.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead commercial legal support and contract strategy while ensuring risk is effectively managed across business operations:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including hardware, software, professional services, subcontractor, vendor, and NDA contracts.
  • Lead contract negotiations with sophisticated enterprise and public-sector counterparties.
  • Partner closely with sales, procurement, and vendor teams to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
  • Manage and respond to contract-related disputes, ensuring timely and strategic resolution.
  • Develop and improve contract templates, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Train, mentor, and manage legal team members while providing guidance on best practices.
  • Oversee outside counsel engagements and coordinate external legal support as needed.
  • Identify risk areas and escalate appropriately while supporting business objectives.
Requirements

This role requires strong commercial legal expertise, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving business environment:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in commercial contracts, in-house counsel, or corporate law.
  • Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology-related agreements.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas is highly preferred: government contracts, data security, litigation, or enterprise technology transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads and multiple concurrent priorities with strong judgment.
  • Experience managing or mentoring legal professionals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Client-focused mindset with strong business acumen and ability to balance legal and commercial considerations.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package with base salary and potential bonus (OTE structure)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Paid parental and caregiver leave
  • Flexible and inclusive workplace culture
  • Professional development and certification support
  • Access to advanced technology environments and innovation-focused teams
  • Strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Additional employee wellness and support programs
