Micron Solutions is a multifaceted contract manufacturing organization specializing in thermoplastic injection molding, precision machining and finishing, and silver-plated medical sensors for disposable electrodes. We collaborate with clients of all sizes to provide manufacturing solutions and assembly services that support their goals from concept to commercialization. Our 120,000 square foot Fitchburg, MA facility is equipped to manage projects across the full product lifecycle.
The Maintenance Technician 2 conducts all repair and preventive maintenance activities associated with the injection-molding and CNC Equipment as directed by the Maintenance Engineer. Maintenance Technician 2 will provide support and training to Maintenance Technician 1 to develop the skills and abilities of the Maintenance Technician 1.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure compliance with all molding‑area procedures and policies
- Perform preventative maintenance on all molding presses, CNC machines, and accessory equipment, and escalate issues to the Maintenance Engineer
- Manage daily maintenance activities for molding and CNC equipment
- Perform hands‑on repair, installation, and upkeep of all equipment in the molding and machining departments
- Strive for efficient use of materials and personnel
- Understand and follow quality management system procedures related to ISO 13485
- Follow Work Instructions and complete all related data‑collection documents
- Provide technical support to the Molding, Machining, and Tool Room departments
- Work safely and follow all safety regulations to prevent injuries
- Support and train Maintenance Technician I to develop their skills and abilities
- Adhere to all company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions
- Ability to understand verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills for entering daily information
- Proficient in the proper and safe use of hand tools
- Physically capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds
- 2–3 years of experience performing service work on injection molding equipment and/or CNC milling equipment.
