NOW HIRING IN CAMP HILL, PA!

The Fleet & Safety Manager oversees workplace safety programs and manages the organization’s vehicle fleet to ensure compliance. This role supports daily operations by maintaining safety standards, coordinating training, completing site inspections, monitoring fleet performance, communicating with appropriate team members and vendors and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Work with departments to implement industry best practices while maintaining compliance with all federal, state and industry regulations. They mentor employees and supervisors, enabling them to achieve a high level of proficiency and independence within the safety program.

Rate: Based on experience.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Safety Management

Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across facilities and job sites.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, document violations and implement corrective actions, including inspection on-the-spot safety training as needed.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Respond immediately to jobsite incidents and assist in emergency procedures.
  • Conduct fact-gathering and root cause analysis for accidents, injuries, and near-misses.
  • Organize safety stand-downs when necessary to prevent recurrence.
  • Follows protocols for communicating timely and ongoing with internal and external risk and insurance personnel.
  • Develop and conduct safety training programs for new hire orientation, OSHA requirements, annual refresher training, equipment training and certification and other applicable regulatory training requirements.
  • Create training matrix and tracking system for all training and certifications to include expiration dates when applicable.
  • Manage company SMS system.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance documentation (OSHA Recordkeeping) and support regulatory inspections.
  • Develop required OSHA policies and forms, as needed.
  • Inspect Personal Fall Arrest Systems (PFAS), PPE, confined space monitors, ladders, power tools, and extension cords.
  • Lead and participate in Safety Committee.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through communication, coaching, and employee engagement.

Fleet Management

Oversee the company’s fleet of vehicles, including maintenance, repairs, inspections, and safe driver programs.

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, insurance, inspections, and compliance documents.
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments, replacements, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure drivers meet qualification standards and maintain required certifications.
  • Respond to vehicle-related incidents, coordinate repairs and reporting, and support corrective action plans for preventable accidents.
  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc inspections of company-owned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage fleet safety programs, including driver training and telematics monitoring.

Insurance Management

Coordinate administration of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto claims from initial reporting through resolution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance claims communication between employees, supervisors, and internal leadership.
  • Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and follow up for all workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and liability incidents.
  • Coordinate return to work and modified duty programs in partnership with the Human Resources Director, HB Global, supervisors, and other applicable stakeholders.
  • Monitor claim status, maintain accurate claim records, and assist with gathering supporting documentation for investigations and audits.
  • Support proactive claim management practices focused on reducing risk exposure, controlling costs, and improving employee recovery outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with employees and supervisors regarding claim updates, work status, restrictions, and transitional duty expectations.
  • Assist with identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to reduce future incidents and insurance claims.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable company policies, state regulations, and insurance requirements.
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a safety and/or fleet related role
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 certification required or obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Must be able to understand, communicate, and follow safety instructions in English (reasonable accommodations provided as per applicable laws).
  • The position requires moderate travel.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and handle high-stress situations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard recognition.
  • First/Aid CPR Certification preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
