Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Snowflake Data Consultant in the United States.
This role is designed for a hands-on data expert who thrives in complex modernization environments and enjoys transforming legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native architectures. You will play a key role in migrating and re-engineering Oracle-based BI and data integration logic into optimized Snowflake solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Working remotely within a collaborative consulting environment, you will reverse-engineer existing data flows, redesign transformation logic, and build modern ELT pipelines that power analytics at scale. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, data architecture challenges, and delivering measurable impact through modernization initiatives. You will collaborate closely with QA and engineering teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance across all migration efforts.
In this role, you will lead the transformation of legacy data environments into modern Snowflake-based architectures while ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability:
- Analyze and reverse-engineer existing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) workflows and legacy transformation logic to understand current data structures and dependencies.
- Design and implement Snowflake-optimized data models and ELT pipelines focused on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Translate legacy BI and data integration logic into modern, modular transformation patterns using SQL and tools such as DBT.
- Refactor inefficient legacy structures into clean, normalized, and analytics-ready data models.
- Build and maintain data validation and reconciliation frameworks to ensure consistency between source and target systems during migration.
- Implement data quality checks, governance standards, and performance optimization practices across Snowflake environments.
- Collaborate with QA and stakeholders to validate transformation logic, troubleshoot issues, and ensure delivery accuracy.
This role requires strong technical depth in data engineering, migration projects, and Snowflake-based transformation design:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data consulting, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, ELT development, and performance optimization.
- Deep expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), with the ability to interpret and reverse-engineer legacy data workflows.
- Advanced SQL skills with a strong focus on efficiency and query performance.
- Experience with DBT or similar modern data transformation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, normalization, and scalable architecture design.
- Proven experience validating and reconciling data migrations between legacy and modern platforms.
- Ability to work independently in complex environments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document, explain, and present technical solutions clearly.
- Fully remote work across the United States
- Flexible work arrangements within a 1099 contract structure
- Opportunity to work on high-impact data modernization and Snowflake migration projects
- Exposure to complex enterprise data environments and large-scale transformation initiatives
- Collaborative consulting culture focused on problem-solving and technical excellence
- Learning opportunities in modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms
- Autonomy and ownership over technical design and implementation decisions
