About Beacon Kalamazoo
Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women’s health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratory therapy and rehabilitation therapy services. .
What You’ll Do
A CT Technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
CT Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
- Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart
- Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
