This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer in India.
This role is centered on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of critical applications in a 24×7 operational environment. As a Systems Engineer, you will act as a key technical and client-facing support point, responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving application and infrastructure incidents. You will work closely with development, operations, and client teams to ensure timely issue resolution and a seamless service experience. The position involves deep investigation of system behavior, including application logs, database performance, and infrastructure monitoring tools. You will also contribute to proactive problem management by identifying recurring issues and transforming them into long-term fixes or automated alerts. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are central priorities.
- Provide Level 2 support in a 24×7 rotational shift environment, ensuring continuous application and infrastructure availability.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application and system incidents, escalating complex cases with clear technical documentation when needed.
- Monitor application logs, infrastructure alerts, and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Act as a primary client contact for incident tracking, resolution updates, and service performance communication.
- Investigate application, database, and performance issues, driving them to full resolution across stakeholders.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, known issue logs, and operational procedures for consistent service delivery.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams to convert recurring issues into preventive monitoring and alerts.
- Prepare client reports, dashboards, and presentations using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in application support, infrastructure monitoring, or production support environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, IIS, .NET applications, Web.config, and Event Logs.
- Strong understanding of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Experience with SQL, including queries, job management, blocking issues, and Always On configurations.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools for applications and infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Basic understanding of Azure cloud services and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework (Foundation certification is a plus).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with experience supporting international clients preferred.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night coverage in a 24×7 support model.
