As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a key driver of project delivery excellence, consistency, and outcomes across enterprise initiatives. The Project Management Office (PMO) leads the organization’s complex, cross-functional initiatives and plays a critical role in advancing strategic priorities and organizational maturity. This role is suited for a seasoned project leader who thrives in complex environments, brings structure and discipline to ambiguity, and actively contributes to the maturity of the PMO. You will work closely with executives, sponsors, product leaders, and delivery teams to drive predictable delivery, and ensure initiatives achieve intended business outcomes aligned with our Mission and Vision.

The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $102,200– $140,900, and for Eastern Washington varies between $89,900 - $122,700. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Enterprise Delivery & Execution

  • Lead small and large-scale, high-impact initiatives across multiple business, product, and engineering stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Apply appropriate project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or hybrid) to ensure predictable execution, transparency, and value delivery.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans and schedules.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

PMO Standards & Maturity

  • Apply and reinforce PMO standards, methodologies, governance, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain high-quality project artifacts that support decision-making, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of PMO processes, templates, tools, and delivery metrics.

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

  • Partner with executives, sponsors, and senior leaders to define initiative objectives, success measures, and expected benefits.
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable status reporting, including progress, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Proactively surface risks and constraints and facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Collaborate on communication and organizational change management strategies to support adoption and sustainability.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with team members, stakeholders, and partners while ensuring stakeholder accountability for deliverables.
  • Motivate and guide cross-functional teams through influence rather than authority.
  • Mentor project managers and team members, supporting capability development and PMO maturity.

The experience, skills, and education needed to succeed in the position are outlined below. These requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.

  • Strong project management experience across multiple delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Lean, hybrid).
  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple concurrent, complex initiatives in a PMO or enterprise delivery environment.
  • Experience delivering initiatives within a product-aligned or product-centric operating model.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise project management tools such as Smartsheet and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and facilitation.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change while maintaining delivery rigor and accountability.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, program delivery, or leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
