As a Mathematics Editor, you will play a key role in developing learner-centric content that supports conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application.

The role offers the chance to work on both print and digital learning products, combining subject expertise with editorial excellence and pedagogy. You will collaborate with authors, reviewers, and internal teams to build engaging, curriculum-aligned resources that make a meaningful impact in classrooms.

Opportunity –

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of mathematics textbooks and supplementary resources, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, developing, and managing mathematics textbooks, workbooks, teacher guides, and digital assets

  • Editing manuscripts for mathematical accuracy, clarity, sequencing of concepts, and appropriateness of examples

  • Ensuring strong spiral progression and conceptual continuity across grades

  • Maintaining consistency in pedagogy, notation, terminology, examples, and assessment styles

  • Mapping content to CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curricula, ensuring alignment with NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023 competencies and learning outcomes

  • Embedding conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, problem-solving, mathematical communication, and real-life applications into content

  • Reviewing and validating exercises, word problems, activities, projects, and assessments

  • Ensuring the right balance between procedural fluency, conceptual depth, and application

  • Collaborating closely with authors, reviewers, designers, production, and digital teams to ensure high-quality outputs

  • Incorporating reviewer and market feedback effectively

  • Ensuring accuracy, inclusivity, and bias-free content

  • Managing copyright, permissions, and originality checks

  • Delivering projects in line with production schedules and editorial budgets

  • Staying updated on developments in mathematics education, assessment reforms, and classroom practices

  • Contributing to competency-based, activity-driven, and digital-first learning solutions

  • Supporting new product development and revisions based on market needs

About YouEssential Criteria
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics
  • 2–5 years of experience in school textbook publishing, preferably as a Mathematics Editor
  • Strong editorial and language skills
  • Experience working with authors, reviewers, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong subject matter expertise and academic judgement
  • Ability to explain abstract concepts in a clear, student-friendly manner
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
Desirable Criteria
  • B.Ed. qualification or teaching experience
  • Interest in pedagogy, innovation, and digital learning
