JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for management of dispatching activities, including; reviewing and establishing the service board. Also responsible for following and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the company fulfills its contractual obligations with permits. The Dispatch Manager is the person who coordinates all the activity between the office and the field.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and lead the dispatch team
- Directly responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, managing, and evaluating dispatchers
- Ensure all repairs and installs calls are completed to the highest quality standards and if necessary, all permits are obtained
- Communicate and monitor goals
- Manage workload and schedules to best utilize manpower and maximize profits
- Ensure technicians are being dispatched effectively
- Assist dispatchers/technicians with issues while in the office and field
- Facilitate weekly meetings
- Resolve customer issues or concerns to ensure complete satisfaction
- Ensure all department operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and company requirements
- Maximize lead opportunities and retain and grow Club Membership clients.
- Perform clerical duties associated with, but not limited to, field technician paperwork, Sales etc.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the VP of HVAC Operations
- Obey and teach the company Code of Ethics Team Rules and Team Philosophy.
- Ensure safety best practices are followed in the field.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of current code requirements
- Understanding of accounting and finance as it relates to the industry
- Ability to manage internal resources effectively and efficiently
- Ability to hold a team accountable for results
- Excellent business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 3 years proven management and/or sales experience in the Service Industry
- Proven record in: Team Development, Sales/Operations, Customer Service
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite including proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical
- Experience with Service Titan
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional Office Environment
- Ability to travel to other locations, for training sessions and/or meetings, car/air travel 25-50%
- Must be able to lift ~50lbs
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
