THE POSITIONThe Outbound Sales Representative is responsible for selling Victory Cruise Lines cruises and related vacation products through proactive outbound sales efforts. Working directly with consumers, this role develops long-term customer relationships by initiating outbound phone calls, emails, and other communications to recommend the most appropriate voyage and vacation experience.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this position utilizes web-based leads, customer inquiries, and other sales opportunities to generate bookings while providing a personalized customer experience. Success in this role comes from building relationships, maintaining a disciplined sales process, and consistently achieving individual sales goals that support the company's overall vision and growth.
WORK ENVIRONMENTRemote – United States (Florida Preferred)
This is a primarily remote position open to candidates throughout the United States; however, candidates residing in Florida are strongly preferred.
Candidates must have a dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet and the ability to work independently while remaining highly engaged with the Sales team.
For candidates located in South Florida, periodic in-office collaboration at our corporate office in Pompano Beach, Florida may be required for meetings, training, coaching, team collaboration, and other business initiatives.
Occasional travel may be required for company meetings, sales training, ship familiarization visits, trade shows, or other company events.
WHAT GREAT SALES PROFESSIONALS DOOutbound Sales & Relationship Management- Proactively sell Victory Cruise Lines cruises and related vacation products through outbound consumer contacts.
- Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing guests through phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and maximize long-term customer value.
- Provide a personalized sales experience while helping guests select the voyage that best fits their interests and travel goals.
- Meet assigned weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Manage a 100% sales-focused workload while maintaining consistent outbound sales activity.
- Utilize web-generated leads, customer inquiries, and other lead sources to generate bookings.
- Maximize every sales opportunity throughout the customer relationship, including identifying appropriate upsell opportunities.
- Support sales initiatives designed to improve occupancy by promoting soft sailings and last-minute inventory when needed.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Victory Cruise Lines products, itineraries, destinations, ships, and services.
- Utilize technical sales skills and product knowledge to effectively present Victory Cruise Lines vacation experiences.
- Practice consultative selling by actively listening to customer needs and recommending the most appropriate vacation options.
- Confidently answer guest questions and guide customers through the booking process.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities utilizing company-supported CRM systems and technology.
- Manage customer information with attention to detail to support an exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure timely follow-up with prospective and existing guests throughout the sales process.
- Maintain organized records that support customer service, reporting, and long-term relationship management.
- Work closely with Sales leadership and internal support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term sales objectives.
- Communicate and interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Build strong working relationships across departments to support the overall guest experience and business goals.
We strongly prefer candidates with current, relevant cruise industry sales experience, and candidates with recent cruise industry experience will be given priority consideration. We will also consider exceptional candidates with proven success in hospitality, travel, tourism, vacation ownership, or other customer-focused sales environments whose experience closely aligns with the consultative sales approach required for this role.
EducationAssociate's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Skills & Abilities- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building abilities.
- Solid understanding of the sales process and technical sales techniques.
- Experience utilizing CRM software and other sales technologies.
- Ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities while working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to consistently meet performance goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an outbound sales or similar sales role.
- Current, relevant cruise industry sales experience is strongly preferred and will receive priority consideration.
- Candidates with successful sales experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, vacation ownership, or other consultative sales environments may also be considered.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals while developing long-term customer relationships.
- Experience managing customer interactions from initial contact through closing.
OTHER
As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to participate in a brief role-play exercise demonstrating their communication skills, consultative sales approach, and ability to build rapport with prospective guests.
