CT Orthopaedics is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant. This position provides direct support to the physician and clinical teams in a given location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to casting, dressing application and removal, DME, rooming patients, patient intake, exam room stocking and cleaning and scheduling.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Cast application and removal.
- Applying and removing wound dressings based on provider preferences.
- Participating in staple and suture removal
- Fitting patients with durable medical equipment and braces appropriately and completing billing paperwork accurately
- Rooming patients and completing appropriate intake documentation
- Drawing up and setting up injections/ultrasound per provider's protocol
- Maintaining a clean and stocked exam room.
- Entering orders for x-ray
- Assisting with appointment scheduling for follow up appointments.
- Assisting with clinical workflow throughout the clinics
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Certified as a Medical Assistant
- High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience in an Orthopaedic practice preferred
Location & Schedule
- Shelton, CT
- Monday – Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM

In addition to our orthopaedic service line, we have three MRI suites, (5) acute care orthopaedic walk-in centers and a surgery center in Branford.
