Warehouse Associate I in Mokena, Illinois at Gordon Electric Supply Inc

The Warehouse Associate I creates value for our customers by performing various duties such as processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Load and unload merchandise in delivery trucks using pallet jacks.
2. Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise and heavy material.
3. Receive shipments.
4. Tag and label merchandise as required.
5. Stock or place material in designated locations.
6. Pick and prepare orders for shipment for all “ship via” types excluding job management.
7. Box, wrap, and pack merchandise following relevant procedures and standards.
8. Record and manage all missing or damaged items, cartons, or pallets to be reported to a Warehouse Associate II to remediate.
9. Access and enter data as required to perform warehouse functions properly.
10. Create and send appropriate internal communications to resolve hindrances to shipping and material quantity discrepancies.
11. To uphold the Core Values of Gordon Electric Supply.
12. Remain current on all required training as mandated by Gordon Electric Supply.
13. Perform other jobs and work-related responsibilities, tasks, and projects as needed.

Education, Experience, Credentials
• Post-high school education preferred
