Petro Rubber Products Work ScheduleMonday - Thursday 10-hour shifts weekly starting on 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Rubber Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production press equipment to manufacture quality components that meet company specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
Set up and operate press equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
Inspect parts and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning activities.
Identify equipment malfunctions and notify supervisors or maintenance personnel as needed.
Read and interpret production orders, work instructions, blueprints, and measurement tools.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Ensure materials are properly loaded, positioned, and handled throughout the production process.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, or press operation experience preferred.
Experience operating hydraulic, mechanical, or punch press equipment.
Experience in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Operating hydraulic presses which includes setup, running and monitoring parts.
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Troubleshooting problem parts and using critical thinking to fix issues.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Strong attention to details when it comes to monitoring quality of parts
Ability to work and communicate with others in a production setting.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
Commitment to continuous improvement and quality workmanship.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands and arms to operate equipment and handle materials.
Able to lift heavy molds 50 lbs. labor background.
Ability to work in the heat.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is performed in a manufacturing facility. Employees are required to comply with all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing job duties.
