Business Development Support Specialist:

Job Summary:
MedCure is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Support Specialist to help expand our customer base and strengthen relationships with healthcare organizations, medical device companies, and research institutions. This role is focused on proactive outbound sales activities, including cold calling, prospecting, lead generation, and customer outreach to identify and develop new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate is confident initiating conversations with prospective customers, qualifying leads, scheduling meetings, and maintaining a consistent pipeline of opportunities. Working closely with the Business Development team, this individual will support the sales process from initial outreach through customer engagement while collaborating with Laboratory, Quality, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, persistence, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls, navigating gatekeepers, overcoming objections, and identifying customer needs. They are self-motivated, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment achieving outreach goals and driving new business growth are key priorities.

Essential Tasks:
Conduct a high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and other outreach activities to identify and engage prospective customers.
Schedule meetings and introductory calls for Business Development Managers with qualified prospects.
Follow up on marketing campaigns, trade show leads, website inquiries, and referrals to generate new business opportunities.
Process orders from the customer by reviewing purchase orders received against contract terms and pricing prior to entering sales orders into ERP system.
Compose, compile and/or coordinate customer estimate requests.
Resolve pricing and inventory discrepancies when they arise.
Effectively communicate with customers regarding services offered by MedCure. Provide timely information regarding the status of opportunities, estimates, orders and shipments.
Provide internal reporting as needed.
Maintain complete and accurate customer order files.
Ensure that management policies and procedures are followed.
Perform ad hoc projects and administrative duties as they are assigned.
Sales Support - work with Account Executives to maintain sales opportunity information. Will review and compile estimates provided to customers.
Opportunity Management - monitor incoming leads, ensuring sales opportunities are routed to the Account Managers.
Accountability:
The actions and decisions of the Orders Team Support Specialist have a strong correlation to the company's revenue and operations. Decisions and actions have a high impact on reputation and customer satisfaction. The Orders Team Support Specialist will have clearly stated standards, parameters, and processes, but must make independent decisions, prioritize effectively, and exercise excellent judgment.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 1-2 years high volume sales or customer service experience
Experience with complex pricing and contracts
Strong coordination skills are required with the ability to multi-task
Work well with minimal supervision; work well with others
Must be highly detail-oriented to be able to reconcile order details to the customer order and complex contracts
Must have excellent written, verbal and math skills
Technologically savvy - must be comfortable with advanced computer usage
Intermediate Excel skills (knowledge of vlookup and pivot tables)
ERP experience is a plus
General knowledge of anatomy or surgical technology is a plus
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Environment:
Fast paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and rapidly changing priorities
Position occasionally requires overtime hours
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Sitting for long periods of time - working at computer and telephone
