We are seeking

Dowds Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities Management team, supporting contracts across Northern Ireland.

This is a hands-on mobile role, delivering reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and small works across a range of client environments. You will play an important part in keeping client sites safe, compliant and fully operational.

Client focus is central to this role You will act as a professional representative of Dowds on client sites, building strong working relationships through clear communication, responsive service delivery and a commitment to high standards.

What you’ll be responsible for

Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple client sitesDiagnose faults and complete repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standardComplete electrical inspections, testing and certification where requiredCarry out daily, weekly, monthly and periodic checks, including remedial worksSupport general building maintenance and multi-skilled activities where requiredRead and interpret drawings, specifications and technical informationMaintain strong working relationships with client site teams, customers and contractorsLog, update and close PPM and reactive jobs on computer-based systemsComplete electronic documentation and maintenance records accuratelyMeet service delivery, quality and KPI requirementsMaintain stock levels, tools and company vehicle in a safe, tidy conditionParticipate in an out-of-hours call-out rota as requiredFollow company and client health and safety procedures at all timesWork safely under Permit-to-Work, Safe Systems of Work and risk assessment requirementsPromote a strong health, safety and environmental culture on every site

What we are looking for

Essential

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalentCity & Guilds 2360, 2330 or equivalent electrical qualification18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)Full UK Driving LicenceValid CSCS / CSR CardAbility to obtain CTC security clearances required by client contract if not already obtainedMinimum 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance within Facilities Management, commercial, industrial, healthcare, retail, education or public sector environmentsExperience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance worksProven fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systemsExperience working across a variety of premises and customer sitesKnowledge of CAFM systems and electronic job management systemsCompetent in using smartphones, tablets and maintenance management software
