SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-2:00pm (must work all scheduled shifts)

SUMMARY: Perform ongoing housekeeping that is essential to the appearance and continuous upkeep of the AL apartments and assigned areas under the direction of the Director of Assisted Living.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Cleans AL apartments as assigned, including vacuuming, dusting, and mopping; cleaning sinks, tubs, countertops, toilets; empty trash; other duties as assigned by Director of Assisted Living.

2. Provides non-routine housekeeping for Assisted Living residents on an as needed basis.

3. Ensures safety for all residents while cleaning/caring for apartments.

4. Responsible for upkeep and control of custodial supplies for the AL office.

5. Positive communication with other staff, residents and family members.

6. Provides back up for Care Partner or Server duties as needed.

7. Cleans Assisted Living dining room as assigned; including tables, countertops, equipment, cabinetry, and floors.

8. Performs all other assignments or jobs as designated by Director of Assisted Living.

9. Documents all housekeeping tasks in compliance with CDPHE regulations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 yrs. of age or older. Preferred 6 months of related experience or training. A high school diploma is helpful, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: He/she must be able to read, and write, English. Ability to learn basic computer skills. Also have the ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must have the ability to work well within the organization as a team member and understand the importance of confidentiality.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

We require employees to be vaccinated against influenza during flu season with certain limited exceptions.
