Accountabilities:

As Lead Psychiatrist, you will serve as a clinical leader responsible for maintaining high standards of care, supporting psychiatric providers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of outpatient pediatric mental health services. You will balance leadership responsibilities with direct clinical practice to ensure quality, accessibility, and positive patient outcomes.

  • Ensure clinical care delivered by the team is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and focused on measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical quality indicators, provider performance metrics, and care delivery standards.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical training programs and educational resources.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance to supervisors and managers on complex clinical and operational matters.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of psychiatric providers.
  • Provide administrative supervision, mentorship, and ongoing support to licensed independent providers.
  • Deliver performance feedback, support professional growth, and address provider performance concerns when needed.
  • Maintain a limited personal caseload while providing direct psychiatric care across healthcare settings.
  • Support collaborative care models by consulting with primary care providers on evidence-based psychiatric medication management.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives focused on clinical innovation, service improvement, and organizational growth.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement across clinical teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced child psychiatrist and clinical leader with a strong background in provider management, quality assurance, and evidence-based mental healthcare. You should be comfortable leading remote clinical teams while maintaining a commitment to patient-centered and culturally responsive care.

  • MD or DO degree required.
  • Board Certification in Child Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
  • Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States, with preference for candidates holding IMLC licensure or licenses in priority operational states.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and providing administrative supervision to licensed independent providers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading clinical teams and overseeing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to collaborative mental healthcare and direct patient care delivery.
  • Deep understanding of cultural humility, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), and culturally responsive care practices.
  • Experience with virtual care and telepsychiatry platforms, including comfort working in remote healthcare environments.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership capabilities, and ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
