The Solutions Engineering Architect will be responsible for designing, governing, and evolving cloud-native architectures across infrastructure, data, security, and application domains. This role will partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions aligned with enterprise goals and technology standards.
- Design and define cloud-native architectures across compute, networking, data, identity, and security domains.
- Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, security architects, and stakeholders to define technical strategies and implementation approaches.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation initiatives.
- Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for cloud environments.
- Evaluate cloud technologies and recommend solutions based on business needs, technical requirements, and long-term sustainability.
- Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and formal technical artifacts for review and approval.
- Lead architecture reviews and influence engineering decisions across teams.
- Balance priorities such as time-to-market, cost optimization, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support adoption of containerized, serverless, and managed cloud services.
- Promote cloud cost transparency and optimization practices through collaboration with engineering and finance teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced cloud architect with strong technical breadth, architectural judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or solution architecture roles.
- Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security principles.
- Experience leading cloud migration, modernization, and enterprise platform transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of containerization, serverless architectures, and managed data services.
- Experience creating architecture documentation and presenting solutions to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to lead architecture reviews and influence technical direction.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is a plus.
- Experience working in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements is a plus.
- Experience driving FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimization is a plus.
- Competitive annual salary range of $175,000–$200,000, based on experience and qualifications.
