Responsibilities
Hines Private Wealth Solutions is scaling rapidly across Asia-Pacific. We are seeking a results-driven Senior Director to lead our expansion and capital-raising efforts with a primary focus on the Greater China market.
This senior, client-facing role carries full ownership of originating and closing capital from a diverse ecosystem, including global private banks, wealth management platforms, and the family wealth community. Joining a high-growth, entrepreneurial team, you will act as a bridge between Hines’ global investment expertise and the sophisticated needs of investors across the Greater China region. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned professional with a deep regional network and a proven ability to drive independent results in a collaborative, "warm expert" environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Originate, manage, and grow strategic relationships with private banks, wealth management platforms, and family offices across Greater China and the broader APAC region.
- Drive end-to-end capital-raising processes for Hines PWS funds, tailored real estate solutions, and co-investment opportunities.
- Develop and execute targeted coverage strategies to build a robust pipeline and secure mandates within the Greater China private wealth landscape.
- Leverage Hines’ global capabilities to craft and position real estate investment strategies that align with the specific objectives and mindsets of Greater China investors.
- Work closely with the broader Hines APAC and global teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and exceptional long-term servicing.
- Contribute to the platform’s culture by mentoring junior team members and proactively sharing market insights to drive collective success.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent professional designations are a plus.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in private wealth, capital raising, or private markets (real estate or private equity preferred).
- Proven success in independently raising capital and securing mandates from sophisticated private wealth segments.
- Strong existing network of private banks, wealth advisors, and family offices within the Greater China region.
- Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is required, alongside excellent English communication skills.
- Highly entrepreneurial, results-driven, and proactive—comfortable taking high ownership in a scaling, fast-paced business.
- Excellent team player who collaborates effectively across global regions and functions.
- Willingness to travel across Greater China and the wider APAC region as needed.
