Job Description

RIM Alliance Aircraft Parts Handler will support the daily operations of our aircraft parts distribution facility. This position is primarily responsible for the safe and accurate handling, receiving, inspection, identification, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and transportation of aircraft parts and equipment. The Aircraft Parts Handler must understand the importance of protecting aircraft components from damage, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation, and following established procedures when handling aviation parts.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, organized, and dependable, with experience working in a warehouse, parts, aviation, or distribution environment. This position requires the ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment and, when needed, operate commercial vehicles to transport aircraft parts between facilities or customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive incoming aircraft parts, components, equipment, and materials.
• Carefully inspect incoming aircraft parts for visible damage, quantity, packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Verify aircraft parts and materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Properly identify, label, tag, and organize aircraft parts to maintain traceability and inventory accuracy.
• Handle aircraft parts carefully to prevent damage, contamination, loss, or improper storage.
• Pick aircraft parts accurately according to customer orders, work orders, or shipping documentation.
• Pack aircraft parts using appropriate packaging and handling methods to protect components during transportation.
• Prepare aircraft parts and equipment for shipment in accordance with established company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Safely move aircraft parts throughout the warehouse and between designated storage areas.
• Transport aircraft parts, equipment, and inventory between facilities or customer locations as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software and computer systems.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventories.
• Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damaged parts, missing items, or incorrect quantities.
• Maintain organized, clean, secure, and clearly identified warehouse and parts-storage areas.
• Ensure aircraft parts are stored in a manner that protects them from damage and maintains their condition.
• Follow all company procedures related to aircraft parts handling, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and security.
• Follow applicable OSHA, DOT, FAA, and company safety procedures.
• Properly use required PPE and follow all warehouse safety requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation documentation.
• Assist with general warehouse, receiving, shipping, stocking, and parts-handling operations.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, vendors, drivers, and other employees.
• Immediately report safety concerns, damaged aircraft parts, discrepancies, or other issues to management.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company and customer information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalate
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and inventory or warehouse management software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 6-12 months of warehouse, parts, shipping/receiving, or related experience.
• Experience handling, moving, receiving, or shipping parts or equipment.
• Some commercial truck driving experience.
• Experience working with aircraft, aviation, aerospace, or aircraft parts.
• Experience in an aircraft parts warehouse, MRO, aviation distribution, or similar environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire).
• Knowledge of shipping carriers, freight documentation, and hazardous material shipping procedures.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to handle aircraft parts and operate warehouse equipment.

Work Environment
This position is performed primarily in a warehouse and aircraft parts distribution environment with frequent exposure to moving equipment, loading docks, storage areas, delivery vehicles, and varying temperatures.
The position may require working indoors and outdoors and may involve interaction with customers, vendors, delivery drivers, and other employees.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when applicable. Employees are expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow all applicable company safety procedures.
