Department: Systems of Systems Engineering
Houston, TX
Timeframe: 2026 Summer
Full-Time 40 hours per week
Tasks supporting the International Space Station contract include providing engineering support services, and resources for activities related to the International Space Station (ISS) including managing many of the station’s systems.
The electrical engineering intern will contribute to tasks related the design, testing and maintenance electrical architectures that allow multiple independent systems to operate as one cohesive unit—especially in high-stakes environments like aerospace.
The electrical engineering intern will assist the engineers in tasks related to integrating and optimizing complex, interconnected technologies.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist in the review of electronic architecture and detailed hardware specifications.
- Gather data for technical performance measures.
- Assist in providing engineering support throughout the life cycle of the electrical hardware and power system documentation / drawings.
- Collaborate with team members with trade studies and literature research to support future product designs. Implements process improvements as directed.
Course of study desired: Electrical Engineering
Specific skills and expertise desired: Programming: C, Python; MATLAB and Arduino a plus; Hardware: Soldering, Arduino, Circuit Design, Digital Logic Design, PCB Design
Other general experience, skills desired: Good communication skills and the ability to organize and manage tasks successfully.
