Data Center Technician- Manchester, Iowa in Thompson, Iowa at Simple Mining LLC

About the Role
Simple Mining operates large-scale cryptocurrency mining sites, and we’re looking for someone who can keep up in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Manchester, IA. No remote work. You must be able to commute daily. Relocation is not provided.

Must live in Iowa to be considered
Starting pay: $18/hour

Keep Operations Running

Track and close work tickets quickly

Prioritize machines that need attention

Maintain accurate records in Foreman and other systems

Repairs & Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues

Read miner logs and resolve performance problems

Handle overheating, replace filters, and keep machines running efficiently

Network & System Support

Monitor machines using Foreman and BTC Tools

Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues

Set up IPs and bring new miners online

Site Support

Assist with setup of miners and pods

Keep the site clean, organized, and secure

Support and train team members as needed

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED

1+ year of hands-on or technical experience

Basic understanding of networks and IP addresses

Comfortable learning new systems and entering data accurately

Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to do physical work

Nice to Have

Experience with ASIC miners or similar equipment

Familiarity with Foreman or BTC Tools

Network setup or troubleshooting experience

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs occasionally

Stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the day

Work in tight spaces around equipment

Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Comfortable in loud environments (hearing protection provided)

Flexible schedule may be required (evenings/weekends if applicable)

We take care of our people. All required safety gear is provided at no cost, including safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, face shields (at hydro sites), fall protection harnesses, and specialized gloves for electrical or chemical work.

Steel-toed boots (required day one)

Weather-appropriate gear

Prescription safety lenses (if needed; frames provided)

Stable, steady work — we're not going anywhere, and we want people who aren't either

$18/hour starting pay
