The Staff Product Manager - Payments will take ownership of the payments product vision, strategy, and execution, driving improvements across a complex SaaS platform. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around customer-focused outcomes.
- Define and own the payments product strategy and roadmap, establishing priorities for the next 18–24 months.
- Develop a clear vision for payments capabilities and ensure alignment with broader product and business objectives.
- Lead collaboration across engineering, design, product, and business teams to deliver impactful payment experiences.
- Act as the internal payments expert, helping teams navigate payment-related decisions and removing operational barriers.
- Improve payment architecture and integrations by identifying scalability gaps and driving long-term technical improvements.
- Partner with senior leadership to transform complex challenges into actionable plans, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Advocate for customer needs by improving payment experiences for businesses and their end users.
- Align stakeholders around product value, success metrics, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Explore and incorporate AI-driven approaches to improve workflows, decision-making, and product development practices.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with deep payments expertise and a proven ability to manage technically complex products in a scaling environment. This role requires strategic thinking, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to independently drive initiatives from concept to execution.
- 5+ years of product management experience with a strong focus on payments.
- Experience working with Stripe or similar payment platforms is highly preferred.
- Background in vertical SaaS environments, particularly at mid-market or enterprise scale.
- Proven ability to partner closely with engineering teams on complex technical challenges.
- Experience defining product strategy and driving execution in ambiguous environments.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with technical and executive audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience building products based on real user needs.
- Curiosity and experience applying AI tools to improve personal productivity and decision-making.
- Healthcare industry experience is an asset but not required.
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately $146,400 to $228,600, based on experience, skills, and growth level.
