  • Contribute to system security design, including IPS/IDS solutions and network protection mechanisms
  • Participate in due diligence activities such as design reviews, vendor coordination, and solution documentation
  • Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
Requirements:

This role requires deep expertise in Linux systems engineering, cloud platforms, automation, and large-scale infrastructure operations. Candidates should be able to operate independently in high-pressure environments and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and design capabilities.

  • 5+ years of Linux systems engineering experience (RedHat, CentOS, Rocky Linux)
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience, including Helm chart development and application deployment
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • 5+ years of experience with Elasticsearch (indexing, clustering, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
  • 5+ years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, encryption, and network protection technologies (IPS/IDS)
  • Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtualized environments, and enterprise storage systems
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby, Perl, or advanced KSH
  • Strong knowledge of system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Ability to work in 24/7 operational support models, including outages and maintenance windows
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance
