Job Description

Growth Consultant

FLSA Classification:
Exempt

Reports to:
Manager, Sales

Marketopia is hiring a Sales Growth Consultant to sell Marketing products and services directly to Technology Service Providers and Vendors. In this senior sales position you will be instrumental in helping Marketopia and its clients achieve continued revenue growth. To be successful in this position you need to be highly motivated, extremely confident, a self-starter with a positive attitude, and possess strong communications and time management skills.

Essential functions:
Comfortable being in a “hunter” sales role bringing on new clients
Assess marketing and demand generation needs for technology firms and create and sell solutions to address them
Collaborate with Business Development Reps to identify and close qualified prospects
Actively engage in mentoring Account Managers to ensure client plans and strategies align with growth objectives
Oversee and coordinate individual sales activities
Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
Build and form new partnerships with potential clients
Leverage CRM reporting tools and dashboards to monitor and present KPIs and metrics
Have a firm understanding of the sales process for a large solution sale
Experience and ability to work in CRM
Any other duties as assigned

Maintain records of sales or other business transactions
Prepare sales or other contracts
Recommend products or services to customers
Sell products or services
Share sales-related or market information with colleagues 
Train sales personnel

Work environment:
The team member may occasionally come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; may regularly work near Outdoor weather conditions; the team member will regularly Work near moving mechanical parts; Risk of electrical shock;  

Physical demands:
The team member will occasionally Stand; Walk; the team member will frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the team member will regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear; the team member will regularly be expected to lift Up to 10 pounds; Up to 25 pounds; Up to 50 pounds;  

Visual demands:
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception; Ability to adjust focus; 

Travel required:
Willingness to travel up to 25-40% to attend conferences to develop relationships with prospects, clients and partners  

Preferred skills, education and experience:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
A minimum of 4+ years selling marketing, advertising, or software solutions to the technology industry
Familiarity with CRM platforms, ideally GoHighLevel or Hubspot
Aptitude to encourage prospect customers to invest in their own success
Ability to work independently while collaborating with peers and management to achieve goals
Strong foundation in sales methodology and its practical application
Strong sales qualities
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong writing skills and experience creating sales proposals  
Knowledge of marketing and creative services
Ability to prioritize and multitask Positive and professional demeaner  
Strong negotiation skills Deadline and detail-oriented  

Organizational Skills:
Ability to work and collaborate in a team setting  
Outgoing and positive personality   
Excellent verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Intermediate computer skills a must (Microsoft Office 365, web browsing, researching) 
Strong sense of personal integrity and a high degree of personal responsibility/accountability
Comfort with multiple, shifting priorities and short deadlines 
The ability to work closely and easily with a diverse team    
Team player that has fun on the job while getting a lot done 
Mac user is essential
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills 
Team player 
Good time-management skills 
Experience closing long term, high dollar contracts 

Preferred education and experience:
BS/BA in Business or relevant field is preferred 
Lead generation 
Managing a tradeshow booth 
Networking at Conferences

Must possess the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines 
Must be a self-starter 
Must be able to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
