THE OPPORTUNITY

Curious how entertainment technology gets built, fixed, and readied for the road? This is where you find out. As a Service Technician I, you'll work alongside ACT Entertainment's Service Team, getting hands-on with diagnostics, repairs, and quality checks while learning the ins and outs of our product lines. It's the perfect launchpad for someone eager to build real technical skill in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Assist the Service Team with equipment diagnostics, service, and repairs — building hands-on technical skill along the way.Support quality control on new and demo equipment, helping ensure the sales team is always show-ready.Support quality control on equipment that has been repaired or serviced, confirming it's ready to go back into the field.Champion a clean, organized, and safe work environment for yourself and your team.Jump in on additional projects and responsibilities as the team's needs evolve.
TEAM STRUCTURE

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities — it's designed to help you build a strong technical foundation and grow toward roles like Service Technician II.

WHAT YOU BRING

    A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent hands-on experience.At least 3 months of related live event production experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.A problem-solver's mindset, ready to dig in and figure things out.Familiarity with diagnostic and repair tools — multimeter, oscilloscope, DMX tester, soldering tools.Sharp attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.The ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a team-oriented environment.Clear, professional communication with customers and colleagues alike.Flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
