Job Description

Telfair Ambulatory Services Manager

  • Position Summary
    • The Telfair Ambulatory Services Manager will be responsible for all aspects of care and coordination for patients, including oversight of staff in collaboration with the Director of Performance Improvement & Diagnostic Services for Telfair Pavilion, and Mobile Mammography. Other clinical programs may fall under the supervision of the Telfair Ambulatory Services Manager as the service line evolves. Areas of accountability include ongoing development of strategies to grow the service in quality, fiscal performance and market share; ongoing evaluation of service performance and implementation of strategic initiatives; functions as a working manager; collaborating with LCRP staff and managers to ensure consistency in the continuum of care for patients adhering to and modeling the expectations of accountability for SJ/C.

    • Associate's of Nursing - Required
    • Bachelor's of Nursing - Preferred
  • Experience
    • 1-2 Years Breast Imaging or Breast Care Services - Preferred
    • 2-3 Years Healthcare Leadership - Preferred
  • License & Certification
    • Professional License with State of Practice - Required
    • National Certification in relevant area required after 2 years.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
  • Core Job Functions
    • Define annual targets and review quarterly; improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs; and develop relationships with physicians, community leaders and stakeholders as needed to promote specialty services for appropriate patients. In conjunction with Director, develop an annual needs assessment and staffing matrix to address the specialty services.
    • Set targets based on programmatic needs assessment and monitor; orient, train and supervise assigned clinical and support team; complete all required staff competencies; assertively address complaints and patient/physician concerns; oversee scheduling and daily work assignments related to specialty; participate in quality studies for cancer services; and actively seek and promote appropriate research opportunities aligning with the LCRP.
    • Meet standards set by ACOS, ACR, CoC, NAPBC and others as assigned or appropriate. Assure oncology specialty services meet the standards of Joint Commission. Patient clinical documentation is maintained appropriately; and follows and educates staff on administrative and corporate policies.
    • Reviews, approves and processes weekly payroll records. Verifies time and attendance with staff as needed. Monitors PTO for staff members.
    • Monthly department performance reports are managed according to finance policy. Detailed explanations for variances are provided and tracked for budgetary reference. Variance reports are submitted on time.
