Director, Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Sales based in India.

This is a senior sales leadership opportunity focused on accelerating enterprise and commercial growth across the Indian market.
You will lead and develop a high-performing team of enterprise Account Executives while shaping go-to-market and territory strategies.
The role combines strategic planning, complex SaaS sales leadership, executive engagement, and operational excellence.
You will guide teams through sophisticated, multi-stakeholder deal cycles and help expand strategic customer relationships.
A strong focus on coaching, forecasting, pipeline discipline, and data-informed decision-making will be central to your success.
You will also serve as a senior executive partner to customers and collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams.

Accountabilities
  • Lead, inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing enterprise and commercial sales organization, fostering an inclusive culture centered on achievement and continuous professional growth.
  • Guide Account Executives through complex, value-based enterprise sales cycles, helping them identify new opportunities and expand strategic customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute market, territory, and account strategies designed to increase enterprise market share and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Conduct regular territory and account-plan reviews, using market intelligence, customer insights, and executive input to identify growth opportunities.
  • Establish predictable pipeline management and forecasting practices, applying structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC to improve execution from discovery through close.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders, both within the organization and across strategic customer accounts.
  • Provide executive-level support during complex negotiations, strategic engagements, and high-value customer opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting trends, and quota attainment to identify risks and opportunities and drive corrective action.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, customer success, product, and operations to strengthen the overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and collective success while continuously improving sales processes and team effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience leading and developing high-performing B2B SaaS enterprise sales teams.
  • Proven experience managing a team of at least 7 Enterprise Account Executives, with a consistent history of achieving or exceeding sales quotas over multiple years.
  • Extensive experience managing complex, multi-product enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and senior executive decision-makers.
  • Strong track record of C-suite engagement, value-based selling, strategic negotiations, and enterprise account development.
  • Hands-on knowledge of modern sales methodologies, particularly MEDDPICC or comparable structured enterprise sales frameworks.
  • Familiarity with modern sales technology ecosystems, including platforms such as Salesforce, Clari, and Outreach.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to connect pipeline metrics and forecasting insights to broader business-growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and retain high-performing sales professionals while building an inclusive and collaborative culture.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments with changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and executive relationship-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer-facing meetings and strategic executive engagements.
  • Must be based in Bangalore or Mumbai, with the ability to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra as applicable to the position.
  • Experience or expertise in enterprise Customer Experience (CX) or AI is a strong advantage.
  • Recognition such as President’s Club membership or a comparable sales achievement is a plus.
