We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented person to support our accounting team with accounts payable, grain ticket entry and day-to-day recordkeeping. You’ll keep our financial records accurate, organized and up to date.

Accounting Data Entry Specialist Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable: enter vendor invoices, match POs/receipts, and prepare payments

Enter and verify wheat/grain scale tickets and related settlement data

Enter other transactions from receipts, bank statements, and source documents

Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and code entries correctly

Assist with bank and AP/AR reconciliations

Prepare reports such as transaction summaries and AP/AR aging reports

Maintain organized digital and paper files

Respond to routine document requests from accountants, auditors, and other departments

Handle confidential financial information with discretion

Qualifications

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

2 years + in data entry experience; accounting or AP experience preferred

Intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting software

Basic bookkeeping knowledge with the ability to spot errors

Highly organized, accurate, and able to meet deadlines

Clear written and verbal communication

Working Conditions:

Frequently required to sit, walk, and stand.

Frequently use hands, arms, and fingers for high volume of typing, etc.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
