Corporate Marketing Contractor in California at BigPanda

Location requirements:Remote based role. Open to candidates in the United States.
This is a contract position running from July through November 2026, operating full-time. About the RoleBigPanda is looking for an experienced, multipurpose contractor to cover priority work across a rehydrating Corporate Marketing function. This role will provide continuity, absorb day-to-day execution, and move fluidly across communications, content, web coordination, and workflow management with minimal overhead.
We need a strong utility player who can step into the gaps, keep work moving, and add structure where needed. You’ll work as a close partner to the Head of Corporate Marketing and interact regularly with counterparts across Product Marketing, Demand Gen, agency, web, and the executive team. What you will do:

• Media and PR Support: Manage outreach, press materials, briefing prep, follow-up, and day-to-day coordination with an external PR agency. Keep press relationships warm and the pipeline moving.
• Social and Executive Content: Draft, edit, package, and route content for corporate and executive social channels. Support thought leadership development and content distribution across LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Website Content: Partner with the Web team to scope, route, and manage copy updates and related page changes. Keep the site current and aligned to the platform narrative as it evolves.
• Content Development and Editing: Write and edit across formats: blogs, bylines, executive talking points, web copy, customer story support, and other Corporate Marketing deliverables. Own pieces end-to-end—not just support in the background.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Keep work moving across Product Marketing, Content, Web, executives, and subject matter experts. Flag risks, bottlenecks, and missing inputs early so nothing stalls.
• Speakers’ Bureau Support: Evaluate speaking events and opportunities, manage proposal submissions, and coordinate preparation and logistics when speakers are selected.
• AI-Assisted Content Workflows: Use approved agents and workflows to accelerate drafting, repurposing, and first-pass review. Apply strong editorial judgment to both human- and AI-generated content—speed without lowering the bar.
• Content Operations: Help build and maintain a lighter, AI-enabled process around intake, review routing, deadlines, version control, and handoffs. Bring structure to a function that’s still building its operating model.

What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• 7+ years across corporate communications, content marketing, editorial, PR, or related B2B marketing roles
• Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats and audiences
• Experience working with or alongside a PR agency
• Comfort partnering with digital or web teams on content updates
• Strong project management instincts; ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing quality
• Experience using AI tools or agents in content workflows, with clear judgment about where human review is required
• B2B SaaS or enterprise technology experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Asana preferred; comfort with Glean and Claude a plus
• Low-ego, highly responsive, collaborative—comfortable in an environment where priorities shift, and ownership lines are still being clarified

CompensationMarket competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $50 - $70 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location
