Manager – Project Execution, National Projects
Lead people, strengthen performance, and support execution across national project teams
At Loeb Electric, successful project execution depends on both strong technical leadership and strong people leadership. We are seeking an Manager – Project Execution to focus on developing our team, strengthening performance, and ensuring consistency across project delivery.
Your Role and Purpose:
As the Manager – Project Execution, you are responsible for people leadership across the execution team, including Project Managers, Project Managers, and support roles. This role owns team capability, resource alignment, team consistency, and accountability to enable successful delivery of projects through:
- Coaching and development
- Performance management
- Workload balancing
You will partner closely with Program Managers and Senior Project Managers, who own project execution, to ensure associates are supported, developed, and positioned to succeed.
Program Managers and Senior Project Managers are accountable for project execution and outcomes, while this role is accountable for team performance, development, and consistency.
What You’ll Lead and Deliver
People Leadership and Performance Management
- Own the performance and consistency of the execution environment across the team, ensuring alignment between team capability, workload demand, and delivery expectations
- Establish clear expectations for performance, communication, and accountability
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning
- Address performance issues proactively and consistently
Team Performance and Accountability
- Monitor team and execution metrics to ensure consistency and accountability:
- Timeliness in communication, updates, and assigned deliverables
- Responsiveness
- Documentation accuracy
- Follow-through
- Reinforce expectations and drive consistency across the team
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and internal standards through coaching and accountability
Execution Performance and Operational Oversight
- Maintain visibility into execution performance trends, including delivery risk, workload imbalance, and operational gaps
- Drive corrective actions through people, process, or structural adjustments
- Identify and escalate systemic issues impacting execution performance across programs
- Partner with Program Managers to address execution risks while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
Strategic Resource Planning and Forecasting
- Forecast resource needs based on program demand and business volume
- Align staffing strategy with current and future workload requirements
- Identify capacity risks and proactively drive staffing or structural adjustments
Workload Planning and Resource Management
- Own resource allocation and workload distribution across the team, ensuring alignment to business priorities, execution demand, and team capacity
- Own workload balancing and resource allocation across the team, in partnership with Program Managers who define project needs
- Manage PTO, coverage planning, and staffing adjustments
Coaching and Development
- Support associate growth through structured coaching and feedback
- Identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Partner with technical leaders to reinforce execution-based coaching
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Influence cross-functional decisions related to staffing, prioritization, and execution readiness to ensure optimal performance across programs
- Own team capability planning and ensure resources, skills and performance expectations align with execution expectations
- Partner with people leadership and technical leadership to translate business priorities into team capability and performance expectations
What This Role Does Not Own:
- Direct project execution decisions
- Customer account ownership
- Financial ownership of projects
- Technical strategy or planning

- People and Performance KPIs (primary)
- Performance accountability and improvement trends

- Timely completion of reviews and development plans
- Reduction in performance-related escalations
- Operational Diceipline KPIs (supporting)
- Documentation accuracy and system compliance (Smartsheet, ERP)
- SOP adherence
- Timely updates and communication standards
- Execution Performance and Operational Stability (system-level)
- Consistency of team performance across programs

- Reduction in execution friction and performance variability

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or related experience with demonstrated experience developing others
- 2+ years of direct people leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or leading others preferred
- Experience in electrical, construction, or facilities environment is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and ERP systems
- Approximately 10-20% travel is required
