Description:

The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering clear, consistent messaging that keeps employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company direction. This role supports leadership communications, manages content across internal channels, and ensures that company updates, announcements, and culture initiatives are communicated with intention and impact. Working across departments and office locations, the Specialist serves as a strategic partner in shaping the employee experience through thoughtful, people first communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and distribute internal communications across all channels including email, intranet, and messaging platforms
  • Draft executive and leadership communications, announcements, and company-wide messaging
  • Partner with department heads to align communications with organizational priorities
  • Manage editorial calendars and ensure timely delivery of planned and ad hoc communications
  • Support change management initiatives by crafting clear, consistent messaging during transitions
  • Create and maintain templates, toolkits, and communication standards for cross-functional use
  • Coordinate with the L&D team to support training announcements, program launches, and employee engagement campaigns
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through feedback and engagement metrics and recommend improvements
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring all internal content reflects company voice, values, and visual standards
  • Support culture programming, recognition initiatives, and engagement content
Requirements:
  • 2–4 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or people operations
  • Bachelor’s in communications or related field preferred
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; able to translate complex information into clear, engaging language that sounds like a person wrote it
  • Strong tonal range: empathetic, direct, energizing
  • Experience in a multi-site or bilingual environment (English/Spanish a strong plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Comfortable building structure in a high-growth company that's still figuring some things out
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication/engagement tools
  • As needed travel internationally between United States and Mexico to meet business needs.
  • English preferred, Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) desired.
