Location: 3425 S Clarkson St, Englewood, CO 80113. This position requires in-office attendance.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8AM-5:00PM.
Salary Range: $74,318.40 - $95,555.2 / Yr.

Position Summary
The Compliance Coordinator supports implementation and ongoing administration of the Craig Hospital Compliance Plan. Under the supervision of the Compliance and Legal Officer (CLO), the Compliance Coordinator independently performs compliance audits, monitoring, investigations, risk assessments, education, reporting, and project work designed to help Craig Hospital comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and guidance. This role requires strong judgment, writing ability, project management skills, critical thinking, and the ability to interpret requirements and apply them to practical hospital operations. The Compliance Coordinator also oversees research compliance activities, including research--related policy review, monitoring, education, committee support, and research integrity matters and investigation processes.
Position Requirements- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Compliance certification preferred, or willingness to obtain an appropriate compliance certification within one year of employment.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in healthcare, business, public health, nursing, health administration, regulatory, compliance, legal studies, or another related field. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant healthcare or compliance-related experience may be considered where appropriate.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant healthcare and/or compliance experience required. Direct compliance experience is preferred but not required. Experience in another highly regulated industry may be considered if the candidate demonstrates strong writing, judgment, analytical ability, and project management skills.
- Skills & Abilities: Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects independently with appropriate guidance. Able to interpret laws, regulations, policies, and guidance and apply them to practical operational situations. Able to design and execute audits, monitoring activities, and investigations; analyze information and data to identify risk trends; prepare clear written reports and executive summaries; and communicate findings and recommendations to leaders, committees, and staff. Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, dependability, professionalism, and confidentiality. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn and use database, reporting, and compliance system.
Essential Functions -
Design, perform, and document compliance audits, monitoring activities, and investigations involving institutional policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, clinical and business processes, document review, interviews, data analysis, and follow-up on identified concerns.

Support assigned research compliance activities as part of the broader compliance program, including policy review, monitoring, education, committee support, and research integrity matters.

Develop and support work plans, risk assessments, and hospital-wide auditing and monitoring activities. Compile information, prepare analyses and reports, and communicate results with appropriate recommendations to the CLO, senior leadership, and committees as assigned.

Own assigned compliance projects from planning through completion, including defining objectives, gathering information, analyzing results, documenting findings, identifying practical recommendations, and following up on corrective actions.

Facilitate an effective compliance communication and education program, including a) promoting use of the compliance hotline, b) increasing awareness of standards of conduct, and c) providing education for new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures;

Provide assistance and information, including periodic progress reports, to the CLO and the Corporate Compliance Committee.

Thoroughly document all compliance matters as appropriate for the situation and in accordance with legal compliance and organizational policies and procedures.

Track and trend compliance-related issues to help identify risk patterns, prioritize department resources, and support auditing, monitoring, education, investigation, and process improvement activities. Present information in a clear and practical manner to hospital and board-level committees as assigned.

Assist the CLO in the implementation and maintenance of the Hospital’s compliance and privacy policies and procedures.

Perform other duties necessary to help achieve the goals of the Compliance Plan.
