Job Summary:

The Fulfillment Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that all Marieke Gouda orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This position supports wholesale, online, and internal fulfillment by preparing cheese and merchandise for shipment while following strict food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, cold-storage environment where attention to detail and care for handcrafted products are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Preparation

• Accurately pick products for each order based on packing slips or digital orders
• Package cheese using proper temperature control methods (ice packs, insulated boxes)
• Pack merchandise, gift boxes, and promotional materials according to customer specifications
• Apply shipping labels and verify accuracy of contents before sealing boxes

Shipping & Logistics Support

• Stage orders for pickup and coordinate with carriers as needed
• Track shipments and update internal systems with shipping details
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fulfillment area

Inventory & Documentation

• Help monitor stock levels of packaging supplies and finished goods
• Report low inventory and restock items as needed
• Assist with cycle counts and basic inventory tracking

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Follow all HACCP, GMP, and SQF guidelines during packing and handling
• Sanitize work surfaces, tools, and packing equipment per protocol
• Document packaging temperatures and product conditions as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in order fulfillment, packaging, or shipping preferred
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work on your feet in a refrigerated (50°F) environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer or handheld scanner skills a plus

Schedule & Environment:

• Full-time or part-time; Monday–Friday with some flexibility during holiday or peak seasons
• Physical work in a cold, fast-paced environment; frequent lifting and standing required
