Job Description
Description:
The Guest Experience Associate supports the Guest Experience Director in creating environments where people encounter Jesus and feel loved, known, and at home at Christ Community Chapel (CCC). This is accomplished through thoughtful hospitality, volunteer leadership, and effective systems and processes before, during, and following weekend services. This role also provides leadership and coordination for Legacy Park, helping CCC strategically utilize the space for church-wide events, community engagement, and outreach opportunities. This is a full-time position and reports to the Guest Experience Director.
Responsibilities:
Guest Experience Focus:
- Help create an environment where non-Christians and Christians alike feel welcome and wanted, with particular attention to creating an excellent first-time guest experience from arrival through follow-up and meaningful next steps.
- Lead the recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of Guest Experience volunteers, including Ushers, Greeters, Parking, New Here, and Next Steps teams.
- Help ensure guest-facing environments are welcoming, organized, safe, and prepared for services and events, including coordinating appropriate security and medical volunteer coverage.
- Personally welcome and assist new guests, helping them acclimate to CCC and identify meaningful next steps, including Reimagine.
- Support the Guest Experience Director in effectively carrying out and continually improving Guest Experience systems, processes, ministry initiatives, projects, and events.
Legacy Park Focus:
- Serve as the primary point person for the scheduling, coordination, and strategic use of Legacy Park for church-wide and community-facing events.
- Develop and maintain systems and processes that support the smooth operation of Legacy Park and establish clear expectations for park usage.
- Build relationships with local organizations, schools, community groups, and other partners to increase community engagement and participation in Legacy Park.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Legacy Park for outreach and connection, including helping CCC ministries strategically utilize the park to further the church's mission.
- Lead and support Legacy Park events and initiatives, including event logistics, communication, vendors, community partners, and volunteer recruitment and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus.
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, guest experience, ministry, events, or a large church environment.
- Strong relational and networking skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with volunteers, guests, community partners, and organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Strong work ethic and a self-starter who demonstrates initiative, ownership, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with leaders, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and help develop effective systems and processes.
- Willingness and ability to work a schedule that supports weekend services, church-wide events, and Legacy Park programming as needed.
- Committed to the mission and vision of CCC.
