Overview

The Production Mechanic II is a non-exempt, skilled level position that reports to the Charm’s Management team. The Production Mechanic II is primarily responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on production machines.

The pay range for this position is $25.25 to $37.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws.

Essential Functions

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines, motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Operate and observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of packaged products to standards.

• Adjust machine components according to processing requirements.

• Clean and set up machines for daily and in process production, change tape, plastic, Robot setting.

• When needed, keep product within specification.

• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, troubleshoot smaller machine issues and report major issues to supervisor.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills as well as maintenance skills needed.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.

Preferred:

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Clean room experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills. Diligent, dependable, and reliable.

• Self-Motivated.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch and handle objects on a routine basis, use various tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

• Ability to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl on a regular basis – occasionally for extended periods of time.

• Able to sit or stand for an extended length of time at a computer, bench, or piece of equipment.

• Able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.

• High levels of stress often occur; must be able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
