Independent Contractor (1099) | Part-Time – Approximately 1 Day per Week
Locations: Corona, CA and Palm Springs, CA
Arrae Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac & Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to provide on-site diagnostic ultrasound services at our outpatient medical offices in Corona and Palm Springs, California.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position anticipated to be scheduled approximately one day per week, based on patient volume and scheduling needs. The selected contractor must provide and maintain their own ultrasound equipment and necessary supplies to perform the contracted services.
Requirements:The contractor will perform diagnostic ultrasound studies ordered by our healthcare providers, including:
- Echocardiograms (ECHO)
- Carotid Duplex Ultrasounds
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Ultrasounds
- Obtain appropriate diagnostic-quality images and measurements
- Complete studies according to accepted clinical and imaging standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for each completed study
- Ensure studies and images are properly prepared and available for physician interpretation
- Follow applicable patient safety, infection-control, HIPAA, and privacy requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies
- Appropriate education and training in diagnostic medical sonography, cardiovascular technology, or a related field
- Current applicable professional credentials/certifications, such as RDCS, RCS, RVT, or RVS, as appropriate for the services performed
- Current BLS certification
- Experience performing carotid and AAA studies
- Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy
- Ability to work independently in an outpatient medical office
- Professional communication and excellent patient-care skills
- Ability to provide high-quality diagnostic images consistently
This position requires the independent contractor to provide their own equipment.
The contractor is responsible for supplying, maintaining, and transporting all necessary ultrasound equipment required to perform the contracted services. Equipment must be appropriate for cardiac and vascular imaging and maintained in accordance with applicable manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
The contractor is also responsible for ensuring equipment is operational, properly maintained, and available on scheduled service dates.
Schedule- Approximately 1 day per week
- Services will be scheduled at our Corona and Palm Springs office
- Specific day and location may be coordinated based on patient volume and availability
- Patients will be scheduled in advance whenever possible to maximize the contractor's scheduled day
This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity and is not a W-2 employee position. The contractor will be responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, equipment, and other obligations associated with operating as an independent contractor.
CompensationCompensation: To be discussed based on experience and proposed service arrangement.
Compensation may be structured as a per-study rate, or another mutually agreed-upon independent contractor arrangement.
