This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Broker Manager, Individual Dental based in the United States.
As a Broker Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across the individual dental insurance market. You will manage and expand a portfolio of broker and agency relationships across assigned markets. The role combines sales leadership, partner development, market intelligence, and strategic execution. You will recruit, educate, and engage independent brokers while helping them effectively position products and support their customers. Success will require strong relationship-building skills, commercial focus, and the ability to consistently deliver against sales and persistency goals. You will work closely with internal and external partners in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. - Own monthly and quarterly sales and persistency targets, developing and executing activities that support consistent performance.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of brokers, agencies, and markets within the individual dental footprint.
- Recruit and develop new broker and agency relationships through proactive outreach, in-person meetings, calls, email, conferences, and other market-facing activities.
- Build trusted relationships with broker partners by providing responsive, high-quality service and serving as a primary point of contact for sales and customer support needs.
- Develop a strong market presence by maintaining relationships with general agents, brokers, consultants, and other key producers.
- Educate and engage broker partners through product presentations, launch meetings, seminars, training sessions, conferences, and trade shows.
- Stay current on dental market trends, competitive intelligence, and other market indicators to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive position.
- Use CRM and other technology tools to plan, track, and execute sales activities effectively.
- Develop and execute market-level strategies aligned with sales, recruitment, and persistency objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with internal matrix partners to support growth initiatives and deliver strong broker experiences.
- Recruit and develop high-performing agents and brokers while strengthening long-term distribution capabilities.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant sales experience preferred, ideally within dental sales, individual dental insurance, Medicare, individual health insurance, or a related field.
- Strong experience with individual dental and/or ancillary insurance products is highly preferred.
- Active insurance license, or the ability and willingness to obtain the required license within the first 90 days.
- Established relationships with independent brokers, agencies, consultants, or other insurance distribution partners are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated history of consistently achieving sales results and working toward measurable commercial goals.
- Strong understanding of broker-driven sales environments and the ability to develop productive external partnerships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as comfort navigating virtual collaboration platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence and executive presence to present to brokers and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Influential leadership style with the ability to create positive energy and motivate internal and external partners.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% overnight for broker meetings, conferences, trade shows, and other business activities.
- For remote work, reliable cable broadband or fiber-optic internet service with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
- Eligibility for incentive compensation based on an annual compensation plan.
