Job Description

Global Tax and Treasury Senior Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Tax and Treasury Senior Manager based in United States.

This senior finance role will build and lead the global tax and treasury function within a high-growth enterprise software environment.
You will own end-to-end tax compliance, planning, cash management, banking, debt administration, and liquidity operations across international markets.
The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring strong technical judgment and an ability to navigate complex cross-border matters.
You will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors to strengthen financial controls and support continued international expansion.
The role also offers significant influence over tax strategy, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, foreign exchange, intercompany funding, and treasury risk management.
Success will require building scalable, audit-ready processes while improving systems, data quality, and operational efficiency.
This is a high-visibility opportunity for an experienced tax and treasury professional to make a direct impact within a lean and rapidly evolving organization.

Accountabilities:

The Global Tax and Treasury Senior Manager will take end-to-end ownership of global tax and treasury activities while partnering across Finance, Legal, and other business functions to support growth and maintain strong financial controls.

  • Own the global tax compliance calendar covering U.S. federal, state, and local income and franchise taxes, international corporate income taxes, sales and use taxes, and VAT/GST.
  • Manage external tax advisors and coordinate tax return preparation, estimated payments, extensions, audits, and tax authority inquiries.
  • Lead the income tax provision process under ASC 740, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, reconciliations, and audit support.
  • Own transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and documentation covering cross-border services, software, intellectual property, and intercompany funding.
  • Manage indirect tax compliance and strategy for software subscriptions, cloud services, professional services, marketplace transactions, and channel sales.
  • Evaluate tax implications of new products, commercial models, international expansion, entity changes, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Monitor international tax developments, including OECD Pillar Two requirements, digital services taxes, withholding taxes, permanent establishment exposure, and evolving SaaS tax rules.
  • Build scalable, audit-ready tax processes, documentation, and internal controls while improving data quality and reducing manual work.
  • Oversee tax compliance related to employee equity compensation, including stock options and RSUs, as well as local withholding, payroll, reporting, and employer requirements.
  • Manage tax attributes and incentives, including R&D tax credits and net operating losses, and coordinate Section 382 ownership-change analyses with external advisors.
  • Own global cash management, including daily cash visibility and cash concentration across entities, bank accounts, and currencies.
  • Manage banking relationships and the complete bank account lifecycle, including openings, closures, signatories, access, and segregation of duties.
  • Administer debt facilities, including covenant monitoring, interest and fee calculations, lender reporting, and coordination of required deliverables.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure and recommend practical risk mitigation or hedging strategies.
  • Oversee excess cash investments in line with company policies, balancing liquidity, capital preservation, counterparty risk, and yield.
  • Structure and administer intercompany funding, loans, settlements, and repatriation in partnership with Tax, Accounting, and Legal.
  • Own treasury policies and controls covering payment approvals, wire controls, bank access reviews, fraud prevention, acquisition integration, and financing activities.
  • Partner with Accounting on monthly close and reporting for cash, debt, interest, FX, intercompany balances, and income taxes.
  • Partner with FP&A on liquidity forecasting and with Legal on entity governance, intercompany arrangements, financings, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process and systems improvements across NetSuite, tax applications, and banking platforms.
  • Prepare clear and concise reporting for finance leadership and other stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically strong tax professional with meaningful treasury experience who can operate independently, navigate complexity, and combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a global environment.

  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience with meaningful exposure to treasury operations.
  • Big 4 or national accounting firm experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and multi-state taxation, ASC 740, and international tax concepts.
  • Experience with transfer pricing, GILTI, Subpart F, withholding taxes, and OECD Pillar Two.
  • Strong understanding of indirect tax considerations for enterprise software, SaaS, cloud services, professional services, marketplace transactions, and cross-border digital services.
  • Practical treasury experience covering global banking, debt administration, intercompany funding, cash management, and foreign exchange exposure.
  • CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred.
  • CTP certification or substantial treasury experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple international legal entities within a global, high-growth software organization.
  • Acquisition integration experience is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a lean environment with significant ownership and moving between strategy, technical analysis, process design, and hands-on execution.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite, tax compliance and provision platforms, and global banking systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to explain complex tax and treasury matters clearly to finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes, strengthen controls, and maintain audit-ready documentation in a rapidly changing environment.

Benefits:

  • Annual base salary of $160,000–$200,000 USD.
  • Stock option grant for U.S. employees.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus depending on role structure.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Eligible leaves of absence.
  • Remote position based in the United States.
  • Opportunity to build and shape a global tax and treasury function with significant ownership.
  • High-visibility role with close collaboration across Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors.
  • Opportunity to influence international expansion, financial controls, and scalable finance processes.
